Surrender Prayer

This prayer is for those who finds it difficult to find the words to pray.  THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT MY PRAYER!  It is your genuine heart that God is most interested in.  I only serve as to help those who, for whatever reason, cannot find the words to pray for salvation.  You can pray this prayer aloud or silently.  Just be sure that your heart and words are on one accord.

 

Lord, I am a sinner and I have sinned against you.  I’ve been stubborn over the years and didn’t want to surrender my heart to you.  Lord, I realize that I cannot make it without you. Even during my most trying times, I realize that it was only by your grace and mercy that I made it through.  You’ve been so good to me and I am sorry for all of the things I’ve done that has grieved You,

Lord, please forgive me for ALL of my sins, in the name of Jesus.  Create in me a clean heart and put within me a spirit willing to serve you.  Right now, at this very moment, I confess that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead.  I know that You did this just for me so that I may have everlasting life.  I thank You so much, Heavenly Father, and I welcome You into my heart as well as my life. 

According to your Word, not only do you forgive my sins when I confess, but also remember them  no more.  Help me to do the same, Lord. 

By faith I receive Your forgiveness, cleansing and gift of eternal life.  I pray this prayer in Jesus' name.
